Minaqua (full name DOO “BB MINAQUA” Novi Sad) is a factory of natural mineral water situated in Novi Sad, Serbia. It is the only factory of natural mineral water rich in iodine in Europe. With clear goals and unique quality, Minaqua takes one of the leading places among producers of mineral water in Serbia. Besides carbonated mineral water, Minaqua also produces non-carbonated natural mineral water, as well as soft drinks and sodas.The range of MINAQUA products consists of:

MINAQUA carbonated water, available in 2l and 0.33l bottles
MINAQUA non-carbonated water, available in 2l and 0.33l bottles
MINAQUA JODI, a soft apple and cherry flavored drink, available in 0.5l bottles

MINAQUA is naturally rich in iodine and that makes Minaqua mineral water special compared to other mineral waters. Besides above mentioned iodine, Minaqua mineral water contains a whole range of minerals which are useful and essential for the human body: bicarbonates (HCO₃^-), sodium (Na⁺), chlorides (Cl^-), calcium (Ca²⁺), magnesium (Mg²⁺), potassium (K⁺).
Iodine is crucial for the life and health of our body. Iodine deficiency in pregnant women causes permanent, irreversible and incurable consequences for the baby (cretinism and mental retardation). Iodine has a crucial role in brain development in children. Inadequate intake of iodine causes a reduction of IQ for 13.5 pts in average. In adults it can cause hypothyroidism, Graves’ disease, hypertension and cardiovascular diseases, enlarged trachea or esophagus which results in thyroid cancer. In women, iodine deficiency is linked to fibrocystic breast disease.
